How can I prevent and remove mold from a Sonicare? - sonicare heads

Well, (my Sonicare toothbrush, the hollow, where it is located on the head) has some nasty brown molds per month. The clean, but always comes back. Firstly, why is there water, and secondly, how can I prevent mold from growing there?
